Thanks!

Once again it is time to thank so many people for a great job! Friday night October 9th 2009 the home had a "hoedown" that was a great success. Thanks to the Board of Directors for serving the goodwill donation meal. The cooks at PCVNH provided Taco Soup and Potato soup as the main course, also provided was a biscuit or cornbread and cookies for dessert. Thanks to the performers that provided the great music of the night. These wonderfully nice people of our community always rise to the occasion and give 100% to show the residents and families a good time. Thanks to Jack Shroyer and wife Elaine, Steve Springer and wife Karen also Debbie Lynch, who frequently sings with these wonderful people. Thank you so much Guys for always being here for the Residents at Prescott Country View Nursing Home.
The Evening was filled with fun and excitement. There were many loved ones that came to share their evening with us. Staff spent many hours fixing up the home to give it a real "hoedown" look. Thanks to Bobbie Lowe for the bails of straw that he was able to borrow from a friend. This straw was brought into the home and used to decorate the home with the just right look to make the place look awesome. Straw bales/ pumpkins and gourds and all the decorative touches that staff put together was grand. Thanks to Becky Jacks for bring us two cooing chickens and Gary Woods for the still in training goat that entertained the crowd. Due to the weather turning too cold for the residents this event had to be brought into the home as a last minute ordeal. So the other animals that had been planned had to be canceled at the last minute, better luck with all that next year.
Thanks to all the volunteers who brought many wonderful cakes for our indoor cake walk. There were so many residents that really enjoyed that!
There was a pie eating contest that many enjoyed participating in and many that enjoyed watching the participants. There was dancing and laughter and just simply getting out and visiting with friends and family. We are so happy to have this community support this nursing home. Lots of staff dressed in bib overalls, resident’s participation was in the form of wearing straw hats or bandana's on their attire. Some danced and clapped their hands and tapped their feet.
Well! It was great fun and we want to thank all of those that helped pull the even off, and all of those that came and joined in, we hope to have many more wonderful evenings just like this one.

Sincerely: The Staff at PCVNH

I'd like to thank all of the folks that made our Hoe-down such a great evening. From the folks that prepared the food, served the food, helped decorate, provided the straw, brought out the animals, the staff who helped the residents and the clean up crew and especially the great family and community support that was shown to us from those who attended. The smiles that were seen that evening from our residents and the comments from them the next day truly made the evening special. The music that was provided to us was great as usual. We get to enjoy this group every month. Although our square dancers were unable to attend, the evening was quite busy. I was even asked if we had anymore of that cherry pie left over from the pie eating contest.

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!
Becky Jacks
